Snowboarding like other Extreme Sports can have different levels of danger. Snowboard injuries happen every year from minor scratches to serious injury even death. Knowledge can help you prepare and prevent dangerous situations. Know the code below and share it with fellow snowboarders you encounter on your trips.
Every person skier or snowboarder on the mountain should know
Your Responsibility Code
- Always stay in control.
- People ahead of you have the right of way.
- Stop in a safe place for you and others.
- Whenever starting downhill or merging, look uphill and yield.
- Use devices to help prevent runaway equipment.
- Observe signs and warnings, and keep off closed trails.
- Know how to use the lifts safely.
